Toshiba Corp., which is recalling 830,000 Hp OmniBook 6000 battery packs, said it "doesn't rule out" seeking compensation from Sony for lost business or damage to its brand image as a result of the recall, Dow Jones newswire reported.
It is studying various possibilities and has not made a final decision, Dow Jones said, quoting a Toshiba spokesman who spoke on condition of anonimity.
Fujitsu Ltd. said seeking compensation was "possible" but that it needed to carry out its recall first before deciding the extent of damage on the company's business, the report said.
Fujitsu announced last week that it would replace 51,000 more Sony-made laptop battery around the world, in addition to the recall of 287,000 others earlier this month.
Hitachi Ltd., which is recalling about 16,000 Sony batteries, also said seeking a compensation from Sony is an option, the report said.
The massive global recall of Sony lithium-ion batteries followed the discovery that the batteries can short-circuit and cause some computers to overheat and possibly catch fire.
Nearly every major laptop maker was Hp F1739A battery forced to tell customers to return Sony-made lithium ion batteries, with more than 7 million batteries subject to replacement worldwide.
The largest recalls have been by Dell Inc., with 4.2 million batteries affected, and Apple Computer Inc., with 1.8 million batteries. Hp Omnibook XE battery expects costs of at least US$170 million related to the Dell and Apple recalls.

There is a deafening, unearthly howl as if a jumbo jet was firing up its engines in London's Hp Pavilion ZT1100 battery Albert Hall. On the screen in the control room a ghostly pinkish glow whips round the edges of the inside of the nuclear reactor. At its core it is 10 times hotter than the centre of the sun.
This, according to some physicists, is the solution to the Hp laptop battery energy crisis a future with cheap, reliable, safe and nearly waste-free power. Today, after years of false starts and political wrangling dating from the Cold War, they will get their chance to make that dream a reality.
A US$14 billion project, called Iter, to build a prototype nuclear fusion reactor will be signed off in Brussels by the EU, Japan, China, South Korea, India and the United States.
The prospect of virtually limitless energy is not merely science fiction. The haunting, screaming growl of matter being smashed together at unimaginably laptop battery high speed is a daily occurrence at Jet in Oxfordshire, Southern England, an existing experimental fusion reactor. Jet is by far the biggest of the world's 28 fusion reactors. It is the work of scientists here that has paved the way for the much bigger Iter, which, once the project is ratified in December, will be built in Cadarache in southern France.
Its advocates say nuclear fusion is the most promising long-term solution to the energy crisis, offering the possibility of abundant power from cheap fuel with no greenhouse gases and low levels of radioactive waste. But critics say the government is gambling huge sums of money 44% of the UK's research and development budget for energy on a long shot with no guarantee of ever producing useful energy.
Last week British Prime Minister Tony Blair backed conventional nuclear Hp Omnibook XT1000 battery power, saying in a speech to business leaders that not replacing Britain's ageing nuclear power stations would be "a serious dereliction of our duty to the future of this country."
He argued that only nuclear energy could prevent a huge hike in CO2 emissions once the current nuclear stations were decommissioned.
But while the debate over the future of conventional nuclear power continues, many physicists argue that fusion is the future. "Fusion works it powers the sun and stars," said Sir Chris Llewellyn Smith, head of the UK Atomic Energy Authority. "In the second part of the century I'm optimistic it will indeed be a major part of the world energy portfolio."
Unlike nuclear fission, which tears atomic nuclei apart to Hp Omnibook XT1500 battery release energy, fusion involves squeezing the nuclei of two hydrogen atoms together. This process releases a helium nucleus and a neutron plus huge quantities of energy.
The hydrogen fuel is part heavy hydrogen or deuterium, which can be easily extracted from water, and part super-heavy hydrogen or tritium, which can be made from lithium, a reasonably abundant metal.
The energy produced is truly colossal. The lithium in just one laptop battery and the heavy hydrogen from half a bath of water could provide enough energy for the average European for 30 years.
One of fusion's big advantages over fission is safety. Firstly, there is no chance of a runaway meltdown as happened at Chernobyl.
If you stop applying the fuel or switch off the magnetic jacket that keeps the fuel in Hp F2019 battery the reactor, the reaction just stops.
"It is very difficult to keep it running. It is like keeping honey on the back of a spoon," said Mathias Brix, a physicist at Jet. Also, the quantities of fuel involved are much smaller than in fission reactors. Jet contains less than a gram of fuel, while Chernobyl had 250 tons. Lastly, the fuel and waste from the reactor is much less radioactive.
But although physicists think they understand fusion, harnessing it has proved extremely difficult. Research first began in the 1950s with claims that fusion would provide reliable power by the end of the century but even now scientists admit that a commercial application is at least 40 years away.
The problem is getting two Hp F2019A battery nuclei close enough to fuse and then controlling the reaction. This means putting in huge amounts of energy at the start to convert less than a gram of the fusion fuel into a super-hot gas or plasma. Hydrogen nuclei flying around at high speed in the plasma can then come close enough together to fuse.

IT sector marks

IT sector marks
  First post by: www.itsbattery.com
Many stories have broken in the Chinese IT industry this year including a delay, again, in issuing the long-awaited 3G licenses as well as the failure faced Compaq Presario 2500 battery(compaq 2500 battery) by BenQ in its aggressive overseas expansion.
Meanwhile, new and improved Web2.0 applications such as podcasting, vodcasting and social network systems have been introduced but most are not popular in China, except for blogs. Instead, surfers focus more on how to make the Internet, and certain applications, safer to use, referring to online banking security issues.
Shanghai Daily has chosen 10 highlights of the year that will most likely Compaq Presario NX9010 battery influence, and be remembered by, the Chinese IT industry in the years to come. We will publish five today and the remainder in next Friday's issue.

Rogue software
China's 123 million netizens have often to deal with rogue software as they surf. Rogue software in this case generally means pop-up advertisements or installing spy programs without notice.
An Anti Rogue Software Coalition was set up to protest the spread of such rogue software. The coalition has taken steps to sue companies which they alleged are spreading the rogue software including Yahoo China and ebay China.
It's a highlight because it was the first time Chinese netizens got together to organize a coalition to protect their rights. That has encouraged Compaq Presario NX9000 battery software firms to launch products which will help users to uninstall the rogue software.

Failure of BenQ- Siemens deal
BenQ recently decided to stop mobile phone manufacturing at its Germany-based facility it acquired through a merger with Siemens' handset division last year. BenQ has applied for bankruptcy in Germany and it will move most its production capacity to a new Shanghai plant. But BenQ will continue to use the BenQ-Siemens brand. BenQ Corp posted a net loss in the third quarter of NT$2.51 billion (US$76.45 million) because of the handset division's losses.
It's a highlight because BenQ's deal with Siemens announced last June marked another landmark for local firms' global expansion Hp F2299A battery after Lenovo.

The world's No. 1 blog comes from China
Chinese actress-turned-director Xu Jinglei's blog became the world's most popular with over 50 million daily clicks, according to a billboard of US-based Website "Technorati."
Film stars, economists and even presidents of real estate companies write online diaries to attract people to visit the blog spaces every day.
It's a highlight because the number of Hp F3172A battery blogs keeps rising as the country's vast pool of Web users clamor to make their mark online.
Venture capital firms invest heavily in the sector and blog operators hope to cash in through advertising links on the popular blog spaces.

A Murder Sparked by a Chinese Bun
"A Murder Sparked by a Chinese Bun," edited from filmmaker Chen Kaige's "The Promise" (Wu Ji), is the hottest Web clip on the Internet in 2006. It has won a lot of support and applause from netizens but also almost brought lawsuits against Hu Ge, the author. Chen was reported to have asked his lawyer to look into the Hp Pavilion ZT1000 battery matter.
Netizens produce the shorts, often parodies of classic movies or events that occur in everyday life, which spread quickly on the Internet.
The creative online video clips have spread widely on the Internet. Over 1,000 online video Websites compete in the Chinese market after Google paid US$1.65 billion to buy YouTube, a US-based Website where users upload and share interesting video clips.
It's a highlight because the improved Internet access network boosts the demand for online video sharing.

Laptop battery leads to fire?
Sony-made laptop batteries were found to be at risk of exploding as they overheated leading to several incidents of fire but fortunately without causing human injuries.
Almost all PC vendors, including Dell Inc, Hewlett Packard Inc and Hp Pavilion XZ200 battery Group Inc, recalled several millions of batteries.
It's a highlight because it is a clear example of internationalization or the idea "the world is flat."
In the IT sector, overseas outsourcing saves costs but sometimes a few mistakes in a region can affect the world.

weary soles

weary soles
  First post by: www.itsbattery.com
Sun Hao lounges on a sofa inside the Beijing Jianqiao Blind Massage Center and waits for her feet to be Hp laptop battery massaged. The 24-year-old bank clerk has been suffering from a stiff neck and backache and is willing to try anything to relieve the pain.
"I sit in the office all day long, facing the laptop Hp F4098A battery and, except for lunch, I rarely stand up or walk around," she says. "I am not as energetic as I was when I was a student and my health has suffered. So I came here to see if reflexology works."
But how does a simple foot massage, a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) practice spanning back 5,000 years, cure the back and neck of a modern day office worker?
Wu Lianjun, a masseur in Beijing Jianqiao Blind Massage Center, says the soles of the feet provide an insight into the entire human body. "When both feet are put together, they form a reflective map of the human body," he says.
"The two toes represent the head, the upside of the foot represents the chest, the middle part of the foot reflects Hp F4809A battery the abdomen and the lower part of the sole, the pelvis."
"Through stimulating certain reflex zones on the feet, the corresponding organs will function better and some discomforts may be relieved."
Reflexology, or foot massage, originates from Yellow Emperor's Canon of Medicine and has a long recorded history of useful application.
Sima Qian's Shi Ji (Historical Records), written around 200 BC, referred to a distinguished foot doctor named Yu Fu, who practiced his massage technique during the era of the legendary Yellow Emperor, thousands of years before this book was written.
Luo Mi's book Lu Shi, which was Hp F4812A battery written in the Song Dynasty (960-1279) and records Chinese history, geography and culture, also mentions reflexology as a way to stimulate painful points on the foot in order to alleviate discomfort and even cure disease.
TCM practitioners believe the feet play the part of "the second heart" in the flow of blood. The feet, they say, are linked to organs by meridians, which interweave through a large network of paths that circulate qi (energy) and blood.
The network connects all parts of the body, making it an intercommunicating whole. That is known as reflexology.
Liu Jie, another reflexology practitioner, says qi and blood circulation is a central theme. "The feet are located in the lowest part of the human Hp 319411-001 battery body, far away from the heart, and are prone to slow qi and blood circulation," he says. "By applying controlled pressure on certain areas on the foot, reflexology serves as a catalyst to dredge vessels and smooth the qi and blood circulation so as to promote the functioning of organs, such as the kidney, bladder and lung. It therefore helps eliminate toxins, enhancing the body's metabolism and immune system."
Sun Hao's first reflexology experience starts with her feet being soaked in warm water, at the same time as her shoulders are massaged.
"Chinese herbs in the water aim to invigorate blood circulation. Shoulder massage is for relaxation," says Wu.
After being dried by a towel, one of Sun's feet is wrapped in a towel and the other is covered with lotion and massaged.
"Most clients receive reflexology here in the hope of relieving neck, shoulder, back and waist problems," Wu says.
"If you sit in an office all day long and rarely work out, it is Compaq Presario 2100 battery common to suffer from a stiff neck and back. Some clients visit for sleeplessness and an upset stomach. Gynecological problems can also be relieved by reflexology."
According to Wu, reflexology can not only relieve some diseases but also reduce stress. It works even better when combined with regular sleep, a balanced diet and exercise.
Massaging the acu-points in the feet can hurt but this pain does not mean more problems in the body. Instead, gentle pressure, accompanied by mild pain, will help activate the corresponding organs.
Clients undergoing reflexology may sometimes feel their feet tingle and become sore or numb. Wu says if lumps are felt in the feet, these might indicate sickness in related parts of the compaq 2100 battery body. Regular massage of these areas will remove those lumps and alleviate the problem.
After Sun's treatment, the practitioner tells her to drink a cup of warm water and not to eat laptop battery for 30 minutes. The young bank clerk feels refreshed and vows to return.

Low-cost laptops

Low-cost laptops
  First post by: www.itsbattery.com
Can low-cost "laptots" stand up to their more pricey competitors?
Is there any point to buying a full-size laptop now that small, light and cheap dell INSPIRON 2600 battery are all the rage? For the past five years I have used IBM X series ThinkPads, which are light, and fairly small, but no one could call them cheap. The latest, the X300, competes directly with Apple's MacBook Air and costs a thousand dollars more than the little Linux-powered Asus Eee.
So if all you use a laptop for is reading and writing, what is the point of the extra money? Surely all you need is a keyboard, a screen, wireless and a couple of USB ports? Not that the expensive models from Apple and IBM/Lenovo offer much more than that.
I cannot be the only person thinking on these lines, because the price of secondhand laptops has fallen sharply, as I discovered last week when I had to make this choice for real because my daughter's old ThinkPad X31 died. The motherboard had failed. It wasn't a repair worth making. Besides, she's in the middle of important exams, and needed a replacement at once.
It looks obvious at first that a "laptot" - as the Eee-type notebooks are known to dell INSPIRON 2650 battery The Register - would be the right choice. They are in theory meant for students, though the only ones I have come across have been in the hands, or handbags, of grownups. They don't do distractions like CDs and DVDs, which has to be an advantage for work. And the laptot would be brand new.
All these advantages - even the last one - shriveled when I considered them more closely. In general, stuff made for students or aimed at that market is just not as well built or well thought out as stuff aimed at business people. I once dropped a ThinkPad one meter onto a hardwood floor. The battery never worked properly again, but everything else was unscathed. A 3-year-old, lightly-used business laptop may well have more life in it than a brand new consumer item and will certainly be easier to get spares for.laptop battery
Portability is fine within limits, but my daughter is not going to carry her laptop around from classroom to classroom - only from room to room at home. She probably carries it less than I carry dell 1G222 battery mine, which I really do take from office to office, and to cafes where I would like to work. A CD drive isn't essential by any means, but it is intermittently useful.
But the real deciding factors were the three elements of any laptop that you interact with every day: the screen, the keyboard and the battery. The keyboards on ThinkPads are just marvelous. They are large, well laid out and with an excellent feel. Anything smaller - and the "laptots" are significantly smaller - is just harder to type on accurately and at speed.
Since the purpose of a student's laptop dell BAT3151L8 battery is to write, not read, this really matters. Large screens probably matter less than large keyboards. But I do think a 12-in [30cm] screen is notably better than a 9-in [23cm] one for writing on. There are more words on screen, or the letters are larger, or both. Finally, the "laptots" all seem to have deficient battery life.
This matters a great deal, since the purpose of this kind of computer is just to replace an A4 notepad with something as simple where you don't have to write all the content yourself, and they never run out of paper. So in the end I bought, on eBay, a reconditioned ThinkPad which came with a media slice that holds a spare battery (which, of course, we had from the defunct one) and an optical drive.
The idea of a two-piece computer - one that can be a simple and lightweight writing device when that is all you need, but also transform into a portable media center - is something that has never really caught on. I don't know why.
But some ideas like this are always being rediscovered: even the laptot is in some respects only a rediscovery of a lovely dell laptop battery little black-and-white screened notebook computer that Hewlett Packard made in the early 1990s, although that relied on a modem for its Internet connection, and the batteries lasted for eight hours or more.
Perhaps the two-piece computer will come back in five or 10 years' time; folding screens will then connect to mobile phones, and be controlled from lightweight folding proper keyboards. We can but hope.

new purchase

new purchase First post by: www.itsbattery.com
BRUSSELS: China promised Thursday to send its dell GD761 battery companies on new multibillion dollar spending sprees in Europe as it called on the bloc, its largest export market, to resist new trade barriers.
Vice-Premier Wang Qishan told EU officials that the Chinese government will send several business delegations to Europe to repeat a February shopping trip where they spent $13.6 billion on contracts in Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain and Switzerland.
European Union Trade Commissioner Catherine Ashton (right) greets Vice-Premier laptop battery Wang Qishan at the European dell KD476 battery Commission headquarters in Brussels Thursday.[Hu Sheyou/China Daily] "We will send similar purchasing delegations to Europe and oppose trade protectionism with concrete action," he said at the start of two-day EU-China economic talks.
"We hope the EU will likewise take into full account China's concerns and ... take concrete steps to eliminate trade and investment obstacles," he said. "In order to jointly tackle the current crisis ... both sides should oppose protectionism in all its forms."
The EU's trade commissioner, Catherine Ashton, told the meeting that Europe was committed to free trade and the fight against protectionism, saying she hoped China would join the EU in pushing for a new world trade deal this autumn that could help lift their dell TD347 battery economies.

She also called on China to open up and tackle problems dell Inspiron 1000 battery that European businesses say hold them back in their fastest battery growing export market. Companies are keen to see China do more to clamp down on copyright goods that they claim cost them a fifth of potential revenue.
"We should seek to address imbalances in business opportunities and confirm that we all profit from further opening of our markets," Ashton said.
Wang also called on the EU to relax restrictions on exporting hi-tech goods to China and help small businesses in both regions trade with each other.
He asked EU officials to understand China's "national conditions and its level of development" and the progress it has made toward opening up its dell Inspiron 2200 battery market, improving safety and fighting counterfeiting.
The EU is China's largest trading partner and technology supplier. It is also the fourth largest source of investment for China, while China is the EU's second largest trading partner.
Even in 2008, when the financial crisis broke out and took its toll on the world economy, China-EU trade grew to $425 billion, an increase of 19.5 percent over the previous year, according to figures from China's customs. It outpaced expansion of China's trade with the United States and Japan dell 312-0292 battery over the same period.
The European Commission said the two-day its battery dialogue will cover a series of issues, including trade, investment, small and medium-sized companies, customs cooperation, sustainable development, product safety and intellectual property rights.
All are meant to "strengthen trade and investment relationship between the EU and China in order to speed up recovery in the current economic crisis," the commission said.
It is the second time the EU and China have held a high-level dialogue on trade and economy. The first was in Beijing in April 2008 after the mechanism was agreed to at a China-EU summit in November 2007.
The dialogue is another sign that China-EU cooperation is getting back on track after a slight derailment last dell laptop battery year.
China postponed a summit with the EU last November due to French President Nicolas Sarkozy's decision to meet the Dalai Lama when France held laptop batteries the EU presidency, but the mutual benefits in the fight against crisis soon brought them together.

to made a battery

to made a battery   First post by: www.itsbattery.com
First you have the mixtures of manganese dioxide, graphite, and an electrolyte. That mixture dell Latitude D830 battery is ground down and aged. Then the mixture is put into a pressed tablet. The tablets are then inserted into a steel can. The steel can and the mixture becomes the cathode of the alkaline dell MM165 battery. Then they put an indent at the top of the can and sealant is placed above it. They do that so the battery doesn't leak.
The next step is to add the anode. The anode is made up of mostly zinc and some other amterials. They put a separator in the can so the anode does not touch the other mixture. Now that the two mixtures are in there, the battery will actually work now. Since the can is not sealed yet, the dell YD626 battery would not last long at all. So the next thing is to seal the battery closed. This will make sure the battery will last long and bring good performance.
The seal is made of many different things. The first is a brass nail, which is the current collector, there is a plastic gasket, a stee washer, and a metal cap to top it off. Now there is a top that gets welded on to battery. This way the dell 312-0393 battery is safe to hold and touch. The last step is to putthe label on, sea it up, and ship it off. There is your battery.

Battery For Keyless

Battery For Keyless   First post by: www.itsbattery.com
I have a 2002 Mercury Cougar XR. When I bought this car about a year ago, everything worked just fine. Like most cars, it came with a keyless entry. The remote worked fine for about two months. Then when I noticed the doors weren't locking and unlocking with the remote, I went to Radio Shack and bought a new dell Latitude D800 battery.
As soon as I put the dell Inspiron 8500 battery in, the remote worked great! Then like two weeks later it started to die again. That didn't seem right. Sometimes it wouldn't work at all. One day it would work then the next it wouldn't.
I went to Radio Shack and bought another battery. Again, it worked just like new. A few weeks later, it was dead again. I am pretty sure your supposed to get more life out of the dell 8N544 battery in your keyless entry remote. Has anyone else have this problem? Do you think Maybe its a problem with the wiring or something?
